#30 The evolution of Microsoft authentication

This presentation explains the basic business needs that led to the development of modern authentication, as well as the foundational concepts and protocols of modern authentication. I will start with an example business scenario and history of authentication. Followed by why not use existing protocols? Then I will discuss the definition of modern authentication, the key modern authentication protocols, WS-Fed and SAML, OAuth, and Open ID Connect.
