#46 Exploring Source Generators in .NET
Source generators are a transformative technology in .NET. It allows library authors to customize their libraries to the specific customer application that is using them using the power of the Roslyn APIs. This can lead to substantial performance improvements, debugging experiences or open up entire new scenarios like AOT compilation inside of ASP.NET.
This talk is going to explore what are source generators, what motivated the .NET team to ship them, the successes and challenges that we've had integrating them into the .NET ecosystem and a preview of what the future paths are for them.
