#23 Detecting Secrets in Project Files with MSBuild

In this session, we will explore various methods MSBuild offers for detecting and mitigating secrets in project files. Recently, MSBuild introduced secrets detection as part of the MSBuild Log Viewer, making it easier for customers to share their logs securely. Additionally, we are actively developing a feature called BuildCheck, aimed for enforcing and defining best practices in project files during the build process. This feature will allow customers to write and implement specific rules tailored to their needs, integrating them into their project files as package references. Some of the generic rules are shipped as a part of the product and can be enabled right away, starting from Net 9.0.
